IPL 2023 Final highlights: Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans in a rain-drenched championship game to win their fifth championship.


 After a lengthy delay due to rain, Chennai Super Kings were given a revised goal of 171 in 15 overs against the IPL champion Gujarat Titans on Monday. Chennai was four without loss after three balls of their chase on a reserve day after a washout on Sunday when rain forced players off the pitch in Ahmedabad. The downpour lasted for roughly 15 minutes, but one of the pitches' covering broke off and became damp. The ground workers spent more than two hours preparing the field for use. Sai Sudharsan, a batsman for Gujarat, scored 96 runs to lead his team to a record-breaking 214-4 total in the IPL final after being given the opportunity to bat first.

 The opening batsman for Australia David Warner , has announced he will retire from Test cricket during the 2019 Australian summer, putting an end to his lengthy and successful Test career. Warner has several goals, including the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India at the end of the year, but the 36-year-old has said he plans to call it quits after Australia's Test against Pakistan in January at his home stadium in Sydney.
